Introducing the Content By Type webpart

I have been working on a new web part that aggregates content of a specific content type into a gridview. Much like the Content Query web part, but easier to use by end-users. They just need to select the content type and the columns they want to be displayed (that’s why I called it “Content by Type”).

Restore a production sharepoint web farm to a new web farm - sam

If you have a production WSS 3.0 sharepoint environment and need to copy the production data into a test environment web farm (different web farm), it can be done using SQL backups and restore.
I am more comfortable using this method than using stsadm tool. This could also be helpful when your production system crashes and you need to quickly get a backup sharepoint farm up and running with the latest production data. Read this article ! Within each logical area of manageability, you will find reference and troubleshooting information relevant to each event logged by services or applications that are part of the server role. WSS 3.0 Web Application (with Event ID - Source - Message) This is preliminary documentation and subject to change. A Web application is comprised of an Internet Information Services (IIS) site that has a unique application pool.
