sharepointbranding Setting up a WSS v 3.0 Site Definition

1. Unzip CustomSite.zip and copy to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\SiteTemplates
2. Cut and paste WEBTEMPCUSTOM.XML to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\1033\XML
3. Then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\1033 and make a copy of the sts folder (in the same location) and rename it to CustomSite.
4. Close all windows and click start...run...iisreset.
5. Create a new WSS site and select "Custom Team Site" from the list of templates.
6. You should now have a custom WSS 2007 site with no top navigation.

A quick and easy way to change the SharePoint default header by Heater Solomon

Into something customized for your SharePoint install is to swap out the image used in the header style sheet class. Teamlook allows the user to associate and connect to multiple Microsoft Team Foundation Servers, each which can contain multiple Team Projects. Windows SharePoint Services Applications Template: Discussion Database

The Discussion Database application for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services allows team members to create, review, and reply to discussion topics. Team members can send discussion items to other team members for review, attach documents to discussion items, and set alerts to receive notification when a discussion item is added or changed.

OverviewThe Document Library application allows team members to create, upload, checkout, review, and modify documents.
